Special Collections The John Bunyan Collection: Through the generous benefaction of the Reverend Ian Tait, The John Bunyan Collection features first editions by John Bunyan, as well as providing a substantial concentration of 19th century editions of Pilgrim's Progress. As a research collection, these materials are supplemented by scholarly materials on John Bunyan. The John Hamm Collection: Initiated by the benefaction of Rebecca Barker Price to honor the significant contribution of Professor John Hamm in promoting the study and performance of music at Covenant College, the John Hamm collection contains scores, audio recordings, and books. Ian Tait Collection: The Ian Tait Collection brings together a rich collection of Puritan and 16th century Protestant works. Among its more notable holdings, the collection contains a 1578 printing of the Geneva Bible, John Day’s 1584 printing of Latimer’s Sermons, and first editions of works by John Owen. Carroll R. Stegall, Jr. Collection: The Stegall Collection offers an exceptionally distinct gathering of historical and geographical sources concerning 19th century Africa. Consisting of monographs and scarce ephemeral publications, the various assortment of materials provides an equally balanced mixture of resources concerning fracophone and anglophone Africa. Alvin D. Coox Collection: Widely know for his influential publications on Japanese military history, Professor Coox’s bequest reflects his scholarly interest in The Second World War and in the Far East, with a special emphasis on Japan. This collection provides a wide-ranging breadth of resources.
